The Transformer Association announced its goal to begin full-scale overseas market development, taking advantage of the recovery of domestic and international markets that had been stagnant due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Korea Transformer Business Cooperative (Chairman Choi Seong-gyu) held its 16th regular general meeting at the association's office in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, on the 23rd. A total of 12 member companies participated in this general meeting.
At the general meeting that day, Choi Seong-gyu, chairman of the Transformer Association, said, "Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, not only the international community but also our association has been going through difficult times due to difficulties in securing export markets and rising raw material costs." He added, "Now that COVID-19 has entered a recovery phase, I expect that our association's domestic transformer business as well as our export business will bloom starting this year. Let's use this full-scale business revitalization as a stepping stone to enter the global market."
The association expressed its will to achieve order results through aggressive business promotion and establish itself as a leader in the transformer market by entering the global market.
Along with this, the main business this year is to focus on ▲participating in the competitive bidding for transformers from the Korea Electric Power Corporation ▲continuing to promote joint purchasing projects ▲discovering cooperative projects among union members, etc.
Meanwhile, the transformer union passed three agenda items as originally proposed: ▲approval of the 2022 financial statements and surplus disposal (plan) ▲resolution of the 2023 business plan and budget (plan) ▲resolution of participation in the agenda group contract.
