Choi Seong-kyu, CEO of Elpowertech, emphasized, “It is difficult to properly respond to the changing manufacturing environment with only partial automation,” and “In order to actively cope with the increasingly fierce competitive environment and achieve sustainable growth, we must establish a smart factory to improve manufacturing and management structure.” The plan is to improve the overall management level and optimize business management based on innovation consulting centered on the manufacturing and logistics sectors. The first stage is to promote 50% increase in productivity, logistics optimization, and basic on-site equipment through 3-Jung (genuine, correct quantity, correct location), and 5S (organization, organization, cleaning, cleanliness, and habituation). The second stage is to improve process quality by 50% and eliminate waste. The third stage is to enter the top tier through increased sales, and implement optimized flow production. The plan is to establish a product warehouse operation system and standardization and systemization of logistics work through material warehouse layout, inventory reduction, and on-site material supply system. Advanced heating and cooling air conditioning systems will also be installed for a comfortable work environment. It is also noteworthy that the state-of-the-art dustproof facility was introduced to the entire transformer winding panel, where dust is a particular problem, and a 'clean room' was realized.
