Transformer Association, last year’s net profit of 130 million won
Regular general meeting on the 21st, finalizing this year’s business plan, etc.
The Korea Transformer Business Cooperative (Chairman Choi Seong-kyu) held its 11th regular general meeting at Hotel Square in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province on the 21st and decided on this year’s business plan and budget (draft). The Transformer Association set this year’s budget at 305.8 million won. This is an increase of more than 20% from last year’s 249 million won. The general meeting also passed the original bills for the dividend disposition (draft) and the resolution to participate in group contracts. The ‘resolution to participate in collective contracts’ is to form a consortium at the union level and participate in Korea Electric Power Corporation’s annual unit price and total price contract bidding for transformers. Chairman Choi Seong-kyu said on this day, “Last year, despite difficult circumstances, our union made a net profit of approximately 130 million won,” and “This year, we are in an opaque environment with no clear future, but we will lead the transformer union by trusting the collective intelligence of many member companies and listening to the voices of union members.”
This year, the transformer union plans to ▲ promote participation in competitive bidding among small and medium-sized enterprises, ▲ continue to promote and expand joint purchasing, ▲ identify union members’ difficulties and seek improvement measures, and ▲ strengthen ties through technology and information exchanges among union members. Last year, the transformer union recorded a total of approximately 50.928 billion won in sales of high-efficiency pole-mounted transformers and compact ground-type transformers.
